The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality. Their goal is to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises

This pair of jeans are inspired by the war time jeans, the S501XX model made by Levi's in the 1940'ss. The war's need for materials led to restrictions on what could be used for manufacturing. This led to a cleaner and simpler design on the jeans. It is made with details such as hidden back pocket rivets and the so called V-stitch behind the top button. The only thing that's been modified on these from the 1940's original is the waist height. It's slightly lower than the wartime S501XX, more like the 1947 fit. A normal waist height in other words.

The jeans are pre-washed so they wont shrink when washed for the first time. You can expect them to expand slightly when you wear them.

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.

For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
