These pants draw inspiration from a uniform found in Warehouse's archives. It's a uniform once worn by the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) during the end of WWI. The name "Forty and Eight" refers to the boxcars carrying the soldiers at the time since their maximum capacity were forty people and eight horses.
A lots of interesting details can be found on these trousers such as patch pockets, suspender buttons and a cinch back, details very common for these type of garments from the early 1900's. The fabric used in these is a light ounce left twill denim, soft and easy to wear yet rugged and durable.
